Senior Business Controller – Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning for global marketing initiatives.

• Develop and sustain financial models, including assumptions, drivers, risks, and variance analyses.

• Collaborate with business leaders to assess performance, make investment decisions, and identify improvement opportunities.

• Provide support for strategic analyses and the creation of business cases.

• Convert financial and operational data into KPIs, insights, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

• Work globally to enhance the quality, consistency, and utility of reporting.

• Streamline, standardize, and automate financial planning, reporting, and recurring processes.

• Cooperate across Finance, Revenue, and Data departments.

• Establish trustworthy relationships with stakeholders in Berlin and New York.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, or a similar discipline.

• Preferably possess experience in a B2C, digital product subscription, or SaaS environment.

• Proven track record in owning or significantly contributing to budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and performance analysis.

• Experience in partnering with senior leadership in a fast-paced international setting.

• Excellent command of the English language.

• Capability to link financial and operational drivers to business decisions and assess investment trade-offs.

• Proficient in building robust models, interpreting performance data, identifying key drivers, and highlighting risks and sensitivities.

• Ability to convey complex information clearly, offer practical recommendations, and constructively challenge assumptions.

• Strong prioritization skills, with a focus on delivering accurate work while simplifying, standardizing, and automating reporting and planning processes.

• Proficient in English, the company's operational language.
