Senior Business Analyst – Health Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to identify business challenges and formulate the appropriate analytical solutions.

• Design and plan straightforward to moderately complex business processes and system modifications.

• Provide recommendations to enhance and support business operations.

• Collect business requirements through workshops, interviews, and various techniques; analyze and document intricate client requirements and processes.

• Relay requirements to relevant stakeholders.

• Develop complex test case scenarios and oversee or monitor business application testing.

• Create business requirements documents and user stories for necessary modifications.

• When necessary, organize, allocate, and supervise the work of other business analysts.

• Evaluate systems and associated data to extract actionable insights and facilitate decision-making.

• Assist in estimating time for project tasks.

• Revise process and procedural documentation.

• Gain a foundational understanding of the technical development cycle for mobile applications or web portals.

• Support QA, UAT, and release phases through defect analysis and change management.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

• A degree in Business, IT, or any relevant field.

• Prior experience in the health insurance sector is mandatory (insurtech experience is preferred).

• Health Insurance-related domain certification from INS/LOMA or III is a plus.

• Understanding of business analysis principles for defining requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and employing an Agile approach for prioritizing work into epics and sprints.

• Proficient in business analysis skills such as facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within specified timeframes.

• Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is essential.

• Basic knowledge in generating process documentation, documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Technical writing skills are advantageous.

• Must reside in Canada.
