Senior Business Analyst, Active Secret Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert the business needs of Government stakeholders into technical requirements that enhance NESD Service Desk functionalities across the Cognitive AI platform, Contact Center, and ITSM suite.

• Spearhead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business processes along with functional requirements.

• Conduct system function analysis to ensure capabilities align with stakeholder needs and Navy ITSM objectives.

• Foster collaboration among Government and Program stakeholders, system users, and development teams regarding design recommendations and documentation.

• Coordinate efforts across business and technology teams to guarantee that requirements are well understood, traceable, testable, and prioritized in the product backlog.

• Convert functional requirements into technical specifications, user stories, scripts, or configuration details.

• Collaborate with developers from Cognitive AI, Contact Center, and ITSM to design integrated end-to-end solutions.

• Maintain requirements, user stories, and supporting documentation in an agile work management platform like Jira.

• Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews/close-outs, and backlog refinement.

• Evaluate solution designs for compliance with requirements, stakeholder expectations, and program constraints.

• Interact with Customer and Program stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and validate proposed solutions.

• Assist in requirements validation and UAT, linking defects to requirements and confirming acceptance criteria.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret clearance is required.

• Over 3 years of experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements for software engineering or similar technical teams.

• Experience with complex or multi-system initiatives.

• Practical knowledge of AI/cognitive or machine learning concepts, or a strong interest and proven ability to learn these quickly.

• Familiarity with agile work management platforms such as Jira or similar tools.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Additional relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Experience with business process analysis tools, gathering business requirements, analysis of functional requirements, and system requirements analysis.

• Preferred experience with IT service desk or ITSM implementation.

• Preferred experience with cognitive AI, virtual agents, or chatbots.

• Background in supporting DoW or Federal programs, especially with the U.S. Navy or other service branches is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria is preferred.

• Familiarity with service desk performance and customer experience metrics such as FCR, AHT, and CSAT is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation or Certified Scrum Master are preferred.
