Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain dashboards within Knock’s reporting systems, such as Tableau, for management and executive reporting purposes.

• Create repeatable, standardized reporting processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

• Identify suitable metrics, data sources, and presentation methods to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Collaborate with business leaders to convert complex data into actionable insights.

• Take ownership of data quality standards across various systems.

• Normalize, clean, and organize data tables to enhance scalability and maintainability.

• Define, document, and enforce data definitions, naming conventions, and field mappings across platforms.

• Manage sensitive and confidential information, including PII, adhering to security standards and data privacy best practices.

• Design and document workflows, processes, and procedures for data management, reporting, and automation.

• Enhance business-critical processes while minimizing operational disruption.

• Maintain and optimize data pipelines for improved speed, reliability, and accuracy.

• Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies, and propose viable solutions.

• Gain insights into workflows and automations across teams.

• Assess and improve automations in sales, marketing, and operations.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create scalable, data-driven solutions.

• Maintain, monitor, and enhance automation logic and outputs.

• Identify opportunities to streamline existing automations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong analytical mindset capable of exercising independent judgment to solve complex business challenges.

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.

• Familiarity with SQL, including joins and conditional logic.

• Basic knowledge of Python, JSON structures, and delimited text formats is advantageous.

• Experience with data visualization tools; familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.

• Background in developing, maintaining, and validating data for management reporting and operational decision-making.

• Experience in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining data from CRMs or spreadsheets.

• Proven ability to collaborate with marketing, sales, or operations teams on reporting or process improvement projects.

• Strong attention to detail when cleaning, mapping, and labeling data.

• Excellent communication skills, both clear and effective.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing business needs without close supervision.

• Flexibility to adjust to evolving processes and new situations.

• Capacity to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an analytical, reporting, or technical support role.

• Capability to set up and consistently operate a computer.

• Proficient in communicating and exchanging accurate information via telephone or internet video applications.

• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
