This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Collaborate internally with the Director and Operations Manager, as well as externally with accountants, financial advisors, lenders, and aggregators in Australia and the Philippines.
• Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks for various Australian business entities, which includes maintaining the general ledger and managing the chart of accounts.
• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations, handle accounts payable and receivable, and process payroll and superannuation contributions.
• Assist in the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensure GST compliance, and monitor cash flow.
• Create monthly management reports, financial statements, and provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with external accountants and financial advisors to maintain accurate, compliant, and up-to-date records.
• Reconcile lender commission payments, trail commissions, and statements from aggregators.
• Aid in settlement financial reporting and assess business performance metrics.
• Compile financial data and KPI reports for management and external accountants.
• Record and reconcile transactions and investment accounts related to Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
• Support accounting for SMSF property purchases and prepare necessary documentation for accountants.
• Ensure accurate SMSF records to fulfill compliance obligations.
• Manage bookkeeping for multiple investment properties and property entities, including reconciling loan accounts and tracking rental income and expenses.
• Monitor equity and loan balances and generate financial reports for several property entities.
• Assist accountants during the end-of-financial-year (EOFY) procedures.
• Maintain bookkeeping records for the Philippine entity, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Provide support for local payroll administration and collaborate with Philippine accountants on financial reporting and compliance matters.
• Assist with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) documentation and statutory requirements as needed.
• Generate monthly financial reports for management and ensure accurate financial reporting for both Australian and Philippine entities.
• At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience, with a minimum of 2 years supporting Australian businesses.
• Prior experience in an Australian mortgage brokerage, including commission reconciliation, trail commissions, and settlement processes.
• Demonstrated experience working with Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
• Proven ability to manage property investment portfolios and bookkeeping for multiple property entities.
• Experience in bookkeeping for a Philippine entity, including familiarity with Philippine accounting practices, payroll, and statutory reporting (BIR).
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, GST, BAS, payroll, and superannuation.
• Experience managing multiple entities across different jurisdictions.
• Exceptional skills in reconciliation, financial reporting, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
