Senior Billing Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with brokers, employers, account executives, and internal stakeholders to manage the complete billing process.

• Identify and rectify billing discrepancies with employers and brokers.

• Work alongside Underwriting to address overpaid or underpaid premiums and ensure accuracy moving forward.

• Investigate billing inquiries and audits leveraging banking systems, administrative frameworks, and prior communications.

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide solutions to their issues and requests.

• Inform employers about best practices and advocate for digital and portal billing functionalities.

• Recognize and suggest solutions to enhance automation and streamline processing.

• Assist in onboarding new team members.

• Adhere to departmental protocols, internal guidelines, and SOX regulations, including refunds and customer disbursements.

• Keep abreast of products, systems, processes, and data flows throughout the employer and employee journeys.

• Engage in team meetings and undertake special projects.

• Contribute innovative ideas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in financial services or group benefits operations.

• Strong communicator with a professional external presence.

• Customer-focused with a knack for problem-solving.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Proven skills in time management and organization.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience with group insurance benefits is a plus.
