Senior BI Analyst – Tableau, SQL, Healthcare Analytics, Client Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with internal stakeholders and external clients to establish reporting goals, KPIs, and data needs.

• Convert requirements into comprehensive reporting specifications, which encompass data definitions, calculation methodologies, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Oversee the requirements process through stakeholder reviews, testing phases, and final approvals.

• Assess the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data within reports and dashboards utilizing SQL.

• Examine discrepancies and reconcile outcomes between source systems and the data warehouse.

• Create and implement validation test cases; document inconsistencies and collaborate on fixes with BI Engineers and data owners.

• Develop repeatable validation and quality assurance procedures.

• Design, build, and sustain Tableau dashboards and reports for operational performance, patient services program metrics, and client-specific KPIs.

• Generate Salesforce reports and dashboards as necessary.

• Implement data visualization best practices using curated datasets and approved data models.

• Conduct user acceptance testing, facilitate stakeholder approvals, assist in deployment, and maintain reporting documentation.

• Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, external clients, and BI Engineering.

• Specify requirements for new data elements and enhancements.

• Promote reporting governance through standardized KPI definitions, documented business rules, and uniform dashboard design.

• Ensure the proper handling of protected health information (PHI).

• Optimize recurring reporting processes and assist in reporting for new patient services program launches.

• Provide training to stakeholders on dashboard usage and self-service reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting, with a proven track record of managing reporting deliverables.

• Extensive experience in gathering and documenting business and reporting requirements with internal stakeholders and/or external clients.

• Proficient in Tableau, including the creation of interactive dashboards, calculated fields, filters, and parameters.

• Strong SQL skills, with experience in data validation and reconciling reporting outcomes.

• Proven experience in data quality validation and the ability to convert business needs into clear specifications, KPI definitions, and acceptance criteria.

• Capability to autonomously manage deliverables from the requirements gathering phase through development, testing, and stakeholder approval.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to juggle competing priorities and achieve results in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate activities across EST to PST time zones.

• Direct experience with external clients to identify and fulfill reporting needs is preferred.

• Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, patient services, or other regulated industry reporting is preferred.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling is preferred.

• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM reporting and dashboards is preferred.

• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses is preferred.

• Working knowledge of dbt and Fivetran is preferred.

• Experience in developing reporting templates, data dictionaries, or KPI definitions, or automating recurring reporting and validation is preferred.

• Certification in Tableau, Salesforce, or Business Analysis is a plus.
