Senior Backend Software Engineer – Loki

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, manage, and sustain critical systems while ensuring their reliability, performance, and availability.

• Shape the roadmap and personal career aspirations.

• Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on outcomes.

• Lead projects from ideation to customer operations.

• Contribute to open-source initiatives beyond the immediate scope of the team.

• Engage in on-call rotations and take ownership of operated services.

• Provide mentorship and support to team members.

• Take part in design discussions and work collaboratively with the team.

• Acquire knowledge of the cloud product, customer requirements, and extensive distributed-system codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with at least one programming language; familiarity with Go, Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar languages is advantageous.

• Proven experience in delivering projects from requirement gathering and brainstorming to shipping products to customers independently.

• Background in developing software that operates in the Cloud or experience in systems engineering.

• Proficient in writing clean, robust, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Self-motivated individual with a proactive mindset.

• Customer-centric approach.

• Capable of deconstructing complex challenges into modular solutions and iterating based on feedback.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
