Senior Backend Engineer, Python/GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee and supervise production deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Ensure reliability, uptime, and performance across distributed services

• Assist in troubleshooting workloads running on Google Cloud Run

• Diagnose backend, infrastructure, and deployment challenges

• Enhance and maintain Python-based production services

• Resolve issues across highly concurrent workloads and extensive container fleets

• Engage with Kubernetes and containerized production environments

• Independently address operational incidents and technical support inquiries

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive service improvements

• Record recurring issues, solutions, deployment processes, and operational runbooks

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in infrastructure engineering, backend engineering, or production systems

• Extensive production experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically Cloud Run

• Proficient in Python backend development, including debugging and maintaining production services

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads

• In-depth knowledge of SQL databases and distributed systems

• Experience in managing highly concurrent production workloads

• Availability for 8 hours per day with 6–8 hours of overlap in Pacific Standard Time (PST)
