Senior Backend Engineer, Node.js/TypeScript, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Design and develop cloud-native services utilizing AWS serverless architecture, including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, AWS CDK, DynamoDB, CloudFront, MSK, and more.

• Create RESTful APIs and backend services that enhance OTM product functionality.

• Integrate backend services with current CUJO AI platforms using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Take ownership of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Monitor, diagnose, and optimize systems to ensure reliability at scale.

• Mentor engineers and collaborate with distributed, multinational teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in programming with TypeScript and Node.js within AWS serverless services.

• Strong practical experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

• Familiarity with AWS services.

• Experience with OAuth2.0/OpenID Connect and secure authentication processes.

• Proven track record in building CI/CD pipelines and promoting test automation.

• A security-first approach.

• Comfortable working within Agile teams.

• Proficient in English.

• Extensive experience with AWS services and large-scale workloads.

• Strong skills in architectural documentation and system design.

• Knowledge of VPN technologies, including OpenVPN and WireGuard server management and extensions.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor AI.

• Willingness to learn additional programming languages as required, including Java, Kotlin, Python, and Go.

• Experience in Android/iOS development.
