Senior Backend Engineer – Node.js/TypeScript, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Design and develop cloud-native services utilizing AWS serverless architecture, including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, AWS CDK, DynamoDB, CloudFront, MSK, and more.

• Create RESTful APIs and backend services to enhance OTM product functionalities.

• Integrate backend services with existing CUJO AI platforms using Node.js/TypeScript.

• Take ownership of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems to ensure reliability at scale.

• Mentor engineers and foster collaboration across distributed, multinational teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

• Familiarity with AWS services.

• Knowledge of OAuth2.0/OpenID Connect and secure authentication processes.

• Proven track record in building CI/CD pipelines and promoting test automation.

• Security-first mindset and comfort in Agile environments.

• Proficient in English.

• Extensive experience with AWS services and managing workloads at scale.

• Strong skills in architectural documentation and system design.

• Understanding of VPN technologies, including OpenVPN and WireGuard server management and extensions.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor AI.

• Eagerness to learn additional programming languages as needed, including Java, Kotlin, Python, and Go.

• Experience in Android/iOS development.
