Senior Backend Engineer, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable .NET services and REST APIs that facilitate commerce and payment functionalities.

• Implement payment gateway integrations and support for regional payment methods.

• Participate in planning, designing, and delivering features alongside a cross-functional engineering team.

• Advocate for non-functional requirements and seek cost-effective solutions.

• Develop, test, and maintain various services.

• Collaborate with different teams to influence architectural decisions.

• Mentor and coach engineers at various experience levels.

• Contribute features to applications that engage customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in C# and .NET Core for web application development.

• Proven expertise in designing, creating, and consuming REST APIs.

• Experienced with relational databases and Entity Framework Core.

• Strong understanding of OOP best practices, containerization with Docker, and web security principles.

• Proven track record in designing and managing microservice architectures.

• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Team-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving skills and a commitment to follow-through.

• Familiarity with architecture, ADR/RFC documentation, commerce systems, payment providers, Zuora, AWS, Secrets Manager, background services, and Angular is advantageous but not mandatory.
