Senior Backend Engineer, Kotlin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and expand backend systems for salary advance, FGTS, and consignado lending.

• Create and enhance APIs that enable an instant in-app user experience.

• Engage in payroll-linked and FGTS lending integrations.

• Collaborate closely with product, credit, compliance, and analytics teams.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and establish team standards for quality, security, and operational excellence.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to enhancing team effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of backend engineering experience with a proven track record of significant contributions.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin and/or Java.

• Strong proficiency in AWS, PostgreSQL, and ECS.

• Proven experience in developing consumer-facing systems that handle real transaction volumes.

• Fluent in Portuguese.

• Advanced proficiency in English (C1), both written and spoken.

• Comfortable utilizing AI-powered development tools, such as Claude.

• Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or regulated environments is highly desirable.
