Senior Backend Engineer, Java, Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a small team, taking on product assignments and guiding them to successful completion.

• Manage all stages of planning, development, and delivery processes.

• Engage in architectural design and contribute to decision-making processes.

• Perform peer code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.

• Utilize contemporary technologies such as Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, gcloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and Astra DB.

• Focus on product improvement and enhancing customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development.

• Proficient in Java development, with a preference for Spring Boot expertise.

• Familiarity with Test Driven Development methodologies.

• Strong skills in unit and integration testing.

• Background in investing and personal wealth management is a significant advantage.

• Mathematical skills are a considerable plus.

• Experience in machine learning or relevant statistical training.

• Familiarity with big-data technologies such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

• Knowledge of financial products and the stock market is beneficial.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Ability to utilize data or credible information sources to inform decision-making.

• Capacity to tackle complex challenges, learn rapidly, and persist in finding effective solutions.

• Skill in balancing delivery speed with code quality.

• Proficiency in English is required.
