This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop Go services that convert data extracted from the core banking system into a standardized model applicable for downstream applications.

• Collaborate with the Profile engineer and data engineers to identify clear extraction points from the core.

• Construct and uphold the access layer (APIs and/or event streams) for downstream integrations.

• Ensure data integrity, enforce access boundaries, and manage schema versioning.

• Integrate with existing API endpoints managed by other teams.

• Assist in determining whether new data products will be delivered through batch processes, event-driven methods (e.g., Kafka/CDC), or real-time APIs.

• Work alongside data engineers to make new data products accessible and queryable downstream.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of backend engineering experience, with Go as your main or preferred programming language.

• Proven experience in building integration, abstraction, or platform layers that connect legacy systems of record with modern consuming applications.

• Comfortable working with transactional systems and/or payment processes.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka and CDC pipelines.

• Previous experience with legacy core banking systems is advantageous.

• Proficient in provisioning cloud services on AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Bachelor’s Degree is required; alternatively, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology can substitute for each missing year of college, in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the position.
