Backend Java/Kotlin Developer III – Financial Digital Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Incrementally write and test code, employing agile methodologies and comprehensive documentation.

• Perform code reviews and assist colleagues in navigating challenging design choices.

• Continuously test, deploy, and oversee code in a production environment.

• Create new tools to enhance and streamline the team's workflow.

• Collaborate with peers from other teams to develop the ecosystem.

• Engage in strategic initiatives for Grupo Boticário.

• Manage the payments platform by identifying issues, root causes, and their impacts.

• Collaborate with the team to shape and determine the future direction of the payments platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production environments.

• Proficient in Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with Kafka.

• Interest and knowledge of data structures.

• Experience in microservices architecture.

• Skilled in monitoring and logging practices.

• Experience with scheduled tasks.

• Understanding of REST and event-driven architecture.

• Competence in unit and integration testing.

• A critical perspective on performance and security matters.

• Strong grasp of software quality, system evolution, problem decomposition, and abstraction principles.

• Excellent ability to learn new practices, technologies, programming languages, and engineering cultures.

• Proficient in Git or another collaborative version control system.

• Capability to conduct root cause analysis for software-related issues.

• Experience with load testing methodologies.

• Ability to mediate conflicts and assist in refining user stories.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Preferred: experience with payment methods or banking systems.
