Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services and integrations utilizing Python

• Link internal systems with advertising and marketing platforms

• Collaborate with APIs and manage marketing and campaign data

• Support dependable automation workflows

• Create backend workflows to automate marketing processes

• Synchronize data and manage scheduled or event-driven integrations

• Engage in projects for startups as well as globally recognized brands

• Work alongside international clients and ioet's distributed team

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a comparable software engineering role

• Professional expertise in Python

• Proven experience in building and maintaining third-party API integrations

• Background in marketing automation, digital advertising, SEM, MarTech, and AdTech integrations

• Familiarity with integration of platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads, or similar

• Experience with campaign, conversion, attribution, keyword, or performance marketing data

• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL

• Experience with caching solutions like Redis

• Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud services

• Practical experience using AI tools like Claude Code or Codex in day-to-day development

• Capability to design backend workflows for automating marketing processes, synchronizing data, and managing scheduled or event-driven integrations

• Experience with Datadog or other monitoring and observability tools

• Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka; hands-on experience is a plus

• Proficient in English communication skills — minimum B2 level
