Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

• Lead incident management by diagnosing critical issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures.

• Remain updated with industry trends and incorporate emerging tools, frameworks, and practices to enhance backend systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend development with a proven track record in leading complex projects.

• Expert knowledge of PHP backend programming language and its frameworks.

• Proficiency in additional backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js) is a significant advantage.

• In-depth understanding of scalable system architecture, design patterns, and microservices principles.

• Extensive experience in database design, optimization, and management (both SQL and NoSQL).

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure, robust APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) and manage third-party integrations.

• Strong familiarity with cloud services (AWS or GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Comprehensive understanding of security best practices, data protection, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.
