Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs utilizing Python and Node.js.

• Create API integrations that export and implement translated content using XLIFF.

• Diagnose and address content model, identifier, and integration edge cases.

• Develop solutions for transforming structured content across multiple services.

• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code adhering to backend engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend software development.

• Strong practical expertise in Python and Node.js.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of API integration and backend service architecture.

• Experience with structured content, document transformation, or data processing.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with XLIFF and localization workflows (preferred).

• Knowledge of the Okapi Framework (preferred).

• Experience with XML and similar structured markup formats (preferred).

• Exposure to content management or localization platforms (preferred).

• Relevant certifications in backend development or localization technologies (preferred).

• Required skills: NodeJS, Python, XML, API Design, XLIFF, OKAPI, Terraform.

• Must be located in the Philippines.
