Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Create and implement scalable back-end systems and APIs for impactful applications.

• Provide production-ready code and introduce new features in a 24/7 sports betting setting.

• Maintain a balance between agility and scalability to facilitate rapid product launches and performance at scale.

• Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from design to maintenance, performance optimization, and reliability enhancements.

• Diagnose, investigate, and resolve production issues.

• Enhance components for high-volume, real-time demands, ensuring speed and efficiency.

• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure technical execution aligns with product objectives.

• Guide peers and promote quality standards throughout the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant combination of education, experience, and training.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in object-oriented backend development using languages such as C#.

• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and backend system architecture.

• Experience in designing and constructing scalable distributed systems in cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Advanced skills in writing and maintaining automated test suites, including unit, integration, and performance tests for large-scale backend services.

• Capability to mentor and develop fellow engineers through code reviews, design evaluations, and collaborative debugging efforts.

• A gaming license may be a prerequisite for employment.
