Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the founders to shape product and technical strategy.

• Develop and sustain the Python/Django backend that supports the consumer dashboard and B2B platform.

• Create APIs for the consumer dashboard and customer reporting functionalities.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.

• Integrate external services such as Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, ensuring production reliability post-launch.

• Conduct code reviews and engage in collaborative reviews with the backend development team.

• Engage in meaningful work from the very first week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building production web applications.

• More than 3 years of expertise with Python and Django.

• Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in production environments.

• Familiarity with data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work asynchronously across different time zones.

• Demonstrated self-direction and follow-through capabilities.

• Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Postgres tuning and query analysis is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS is a notable plus.

• Experience with Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations is beneficial.

• Knowledge of HTMX, React, or both is a valuable asset.

• Background in consumer privacy or related fields is a strong advantage.

• Experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code is an additional plus.
