Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the Django backend that powers both the consumer dashboard and the B2B platform.

• Create APIs for the consumer dashboard and client reporting functionalities.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.

• Integrate third-party services, including Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, ensuring post-production reliability.

• Participate in code reviews within a small backend team, both giving and receiving feedback.

• Collaborate directly with the founders regarding product and technical strategy.

• Engage in meaningful work from the very first week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in developing production web applications.

• At least 3 years of experience with Python and Django.

• Familiarity with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in a production environment.

• Understanding of data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design.

• Excellent written communication skills; comfortable working asynchronously across different time zones.

• Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks.

• Strong plus: Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja.

• Strong plus: Knowledge of Postgres tuning and query analysis.

• Strong plus: Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.

• Strong plus: Familiarity with Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations.

• Strong plus: Proficiency in HTMX, React, or both.

• Strong plus: Background in consumer privacy or related fields.

• Strong plus: Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code).
