Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the founders on product and technical strategies.

• Develop and sustain the Python/Django backend that supports the consumer dashboard and B2B platform.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, ensuring production reliability post-launch.

• Create APIs for the consumer dashboard and customer reporting functionalities.

• Enhance performance and reliability within Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.

• Integrate external services, including payment processors and identity solutions like Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Conduct code reviews as part of a small backend team.

• Engage with real production tasks in the first week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building production web applications.

• At least 3 years of experience with Python and Django.

• Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in a production environment.

• Familiarity with data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system architecture.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work asynchronously across different time zones.

• Self-motivated with strong follow-through capabilities.

• Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja is highly desirable.

• Experience in Postgres tuning and query analysis is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS is a valuable asset.

• Familiarity with Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations is a strong plus.

• Experience with HTMX and/or React is a strong plus.

• Background in consumer privacy or related fields is a notable advantage.

• Experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code is a strong plus.
