Senior Backend Engineer, AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Create and develop services that incorporate AI into customer-facing functionalities.

• Build efficient and scalable APIs and backend services that link AI outputs to SaaS capabilities.

• Work collaboratively with product and design teams to deliver user-friendly AI-driven experiences.

• Collaborate with platform and integration teams to incorporate AI into current systems and workflows.

• Establish observability, monitoring, and error management for AI services in a production environment.

• Contribute to the AI integration stack, including Python SDKs, MCP servers, and LLM orchestration.

• Integrate AI services into Hostaway's SaaS offerings to enhance automation workflows and customer insights dashboards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering, preferably in a SaaS environment.

• Strong expertise in Python programming.

• Proficient in REST APIs and SaaS integrations.

• Familiar with LLM/AI tools, including LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, and MCP servers.

• Comfortable working with Python-based AI services and connecting different technology stacks.

• Excellent collaboration skills to align efforts with platform and product teams.

• Experience with PHP and Golang is a plus.
