Senior Backend Developer – Node.js, Camunda

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee backend services and microservices utilizing Node.js / TypeScript

• Design and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs along with system integrations

• Develop, support, and troubleshoot Camunda workflows

• Investigate workflows that have failed or are stuck, as well as incidents and process execution issues

• Create and resolve messaging integrations leveraging RabbitMQ and Azure Service Bus

• Analyze production issues spanning APIs, microservices, workflows, queues, databases, and external integrations

• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement lasting technical solutions

• Utilize Git/GitLab for version control, including branching, merging, cherry-picking, rebasing, conflict resolution, and managing release/hotfix activities

• Comprehend and troubleshoot current Java/Spring Boot services

• Engage in code reviews, deployments, production support, and resolution of critical incidents

• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, QA, Integration, and other technical teams

• Manage Oracle structural databases

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with Node.js, microservices, Camunda workflows, and enterprise integrations

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving in production environments

• Capability to investigate intricate issues across microservices, workflows, messaging systems, APIs, and databases

• Experience in developing and maintaining backend services and microservices with Node.js / TypeScript

• Proficiency in developing and supporting REST/GraphQL APIs and system integrations

• Experience in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Camunda workflows

• Ability to analyze failed or stuck workflows, workers, incidents, and process execution issues

• Familiarity with RabbitMQ and Azure Service Bus

• Experience in investigating production problems involving APIs, microservices, workflows, queues, databases, and external integrations

• Proven ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable technical solutions

• Proficient in using Git/GitLab, including branching, merging, cherry-picking, rebasing, conflict resolution, and coordinating release/hotfix activities

• Understanding of and capability to troubleshoot existing Java/Spring Boot services

• Experience with Oracle structural databases
