Senior Backend Developer – JavaScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume comprehensive responsibility for the development of products and features, encompassing design, implementation, production deployment, and ongoing enhancements.

• Develop and manage backend services that emphasize scalability, reliability, and performance within a microservices framework.

• Engage in system design, architectural planning, and make technical decisions in collaboration with the team.

• Work with asynchronous, message-driven components utilizing Redis Streams, including aspects of debugging, tuning, and resilient processing.

• Produce high-quality, maintainable code with suitable test coverage.

• Actively engage in code reviews.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve significant outcomes.

• Commit to continuous learning, adaptation, and keeping abreast of best practices and emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience, including more than 3 years dedicated to backend JavaScript / Node.js development.

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining SaaS applications or production backend services.

• Experience in a microservices architecture, including service boundaries, APIs, and reliability patterns.

• Knowledge of LangChain and LangGraph, particularly in building and orchestrating LLM-powered workflows.

• Practical experience with MongoDB and Redis, including hands-on work with Redis Streams or comparable pub/sub/stream processing.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications.

• Strong understanding of system design principles: APIs, data modeling, performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Snowflake and data pipelines/analytics is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based production environments is advantageous.

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL and additional NoSQL technologies is beneficial.

• Familiarity with observability tools and incident response is a plus.
