This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of intricate technical solutions that satisfy functional, performance, and security requirements.
• Convert vague business and product needs into precise technical plans and effectively execute them.
• Produce high-quality, maintainable, and testable code while taking ownership of the most complex or critical components.
• Participate in code and design reviews as an active peer contributor.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive delivery quality.
• Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and CI/CD disciplines.
• Proactively identify and address technical risks and dependencies.
• Assess and implement emerging technologies and tools, including AI-assisted development.
• Adapt to various domains such as Licensing, Registrations, Reservations, and others as project priorities evolve.
• Provide mentorship to senior and staff-level engineers without formal reporting authority.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, PCI-compliant payment and transaction-processing systems.
• Integrate with external payment gateways and processors, ensuring transaction integrity, reconciliation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with compliance and product stakeholders regarding payment industry regulations and security standards like PCI DSS.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Front-end experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Proficient in relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORMs (e.g., Entity Framework).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Over 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including establishing technical direction across multiple teams.
• Significant experience within the fintech sector is essential, particularly in building or maintaining payment and transaction-processing software.
• Knowledge of payment gateways/processors, PCI DSS, and transaction reconciliation is highly advantageous.
• Preferred: experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), contributions to open-source projects, or technical blogging.
