Senior Backend Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to deliver features.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Computer Science or vocational training as an IT specialist for application development (m/f/d), or an equivalent qualification.

• Career changers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong expertise in backend development using Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of Java performance and scalability.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or a willingness to utilize them effectively.

• Proven experience in developing scalable and secure backend features.

• Quick adaptability to new technologies.

• Passion for agile software development.

• Understanding of Test-Driven Development, code reviews, and Continuous Delivery.

• Proficient written and spoken skills in German and English.

• Fluent German is mandatory.

• Experience with Elasticsearch or Solr, as well as large datasets and NoSQL databases, is a plus.

• Experience in Identity and Access Management is desirable, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, SCIM, Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID.
