Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve backend applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create scalable, secure, and highly available RESTful APIs.

• Assist in the design and development of microservices-based architectures.

• Establish integrations between internal systems and corporate platforms.

• Engage in defining technical solutions and participating in architectural decisions.

• Maintain code quality by adhering to development best practices and conducting code reviews.

• Develop unit tests and aid in implementing automated testing strategies.

• Identify and resolve technical challenges in both development and production environments.

• Collaborate with teams in Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Mobile Development.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies, contributing to planning and execution of deliveries.

• Foster continuous improvements in application architecture, performance, and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Strong software engineering background, with relevant experience in Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Experience in developing and operating systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js).

• Familiarity with service containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, etc.).

• Understanding of DevOps tools (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, StarTeam).

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum).

• Experience with private and public cloud environments, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Commitment to quality and best practices, with an emphasis on writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes.

• A collaborative and proactive individual with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
