Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage backend APIs and services utilizing Node.js.

• Implement and enhance integrations with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Maintain high code quality standards, automated testing procedures, and development best practices.

• Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements.

• Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and security measures.

• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, enhancements, and refactoring efforts to ensure system maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of solid experience in Node.js development.

• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.

• Advanced understanding of databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Strong expertise in version control systems, particularly Git.

• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, and Chai.

• Experience with microservices architecture and messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Knowledge of security best practices for backend applications.

• Experience in cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.

• Preferred: familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

• Preferred: experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
