Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and sustain robust backend applications utilizing Python.

• Create and implement scalable, efficient microservices architectures.

• Design, build, and deploy cloud-based applications leveraging AWS services.

• Deploy and oversee containerized applications using Kubernetes.

• Ensure backend systems uphold performance, reliability, and security standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish system architecture and technical strategies.

• Diagnose complex issues and optimize system efficiency to minimize downtime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in backend technologies.

• Expertise in Python (experience with Django is an added advantage).

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and management.

• Experience in developing and deploying cloud solutions using AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

• Strong foundation in microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Excellent debugging skills and a thorough understanding of performance optimization techniques.

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and engineers.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferred).

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker (preferred).

• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices (preferred).
