Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

• Develop, enhance, and sustain robust backend applications utilizing Python.

• Design and implement scalable and efficient microservices architectures.

• Utilize AWS services to architect, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications.

• Deploy and manage applications in containers using Kubernetes.

• Ensure backend systems uphold performance, reliability, and security standards.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical strategies.

• Diagnose intricate issues and optimize system efficiency to minimize downtime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, concentrating on backend technologies.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and management.

• Experience in developing and deploying cloud solutions utilizing AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

• Solid background in microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Strong debugging abilities and a thorough understanding of performance optimization methods.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and engineers.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferred).

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker (preferred).

• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices (preferred).
