Senior Backend Developer – AI Agents, German-Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create autonomous inbox agents tailored for intricate ticket workflows

• Identify the appropriate moments for agents to transfer tasks to human operators and establish the necessary procedures

• Design agent templates for clientele

• Craft system prompts and skills as part of Harness Engineering

• Enhance comprehension of industry-specific inquiries from property managers

• Further develop the Knowledge Base and improve its search capabilities through tools, system prompts, and skills

• Create voice agents utilizing LiveKit

• Choose appropriate LLMs for designated tasks

• Minimize latency via caching and streaming techniques

• Establish error handling and retry mechanisms for provider outages

• Efficiently manage context and optimize RAG search

• Monitor cross-provider usage and work on cost reduction

• Conduct evaluations to measure enhancements

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both English and German

• Over 2 years of experience in developing agents for production environments

• AI-native

• Have launched agentic features relied upon by actual users

• Hold strong views regarding retrieval, evaluations, tool design, and the constraints of current leading models

• Primarily a creator, eager to deploy rough v1 versions swiftly

• Stay informed about emerging AI models and research

• Write the majority of code using AI

• Comfortable with independent work and taking full responsibility for tasks

• Able to perform effectively under pressure

• Quick learner with a versatile approach

• Familiarity with TypeScript, the Vercel AI SDK, and Convex Agent Component; prior tech stack experience is not a determining factor
