Senior Back-end Engineer, .NET – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Become part of an Agile team enhancing the features of cutting-edge FinTech software.

• Enhance current software while contributing to new development projects every quarter.

• Develop and host software solutions in the Azure Cloud environment.

• Utilize technologies such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Azure API Gateway, SQL Server, Angular, and more.

• Create APIs and microservices.

• Implement automated unit and integration testing methodologies.

• Optimize SQL queries and enhance application performance.

• Engage with microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous or event-driven communication techniques.

• Independently produce well-architected, testable, and production-ready code.

• Take part in code review processes.

• Collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core, particularly in building APIs and microservices.

• Deep understanding of SOLID principles, dependency injection/IoC, and the creation of clean, maintainable code.

• Proficient in automated unit and integration testing techniques.

• Strong experience with SQL and Entity Framework / EF Core, especially in query optimization and performance considerations.

• Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous or event-driven communication.

• Experience in cloud development, ideally within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and contemporary development practices.

• Capability to independently deliver well-structured, testable, production-ready code and engage in code reviews.

• Excellent communication skills with experience in working alongside remote, distributed teams.

• Proficiency in English.

• Must reside in Latin America (LATAM).
