Senior Back End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain both client-facing and internal APIs.

• Design and manage data flows across backend services, applications, and external systems.

• Develop and oversee database schemas and data storage solutions to support scalable applications.

• Lead intricate product features from initial concept to final deployment.

• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks.

• Enhance software quality and reliability.

• Assess, integrate, and provide support for third-party services, tools, and platforms.

• Optimize system architecture, performance, observability, security, and reliability.

• Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and share knowledge within the engineering team.

• Take ownership of complex product features from design to deployment.

• Contribute to architecture, data flows, APIs, databases, observability, and platform reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• 6–8 years of experience in back-end or full-stack software engineering positions.

• Proficient knowledge of Go.

• Professional experience in developing applications and services using Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or C#.

• Experience in designing, developing, debugging, and deploying high-performance client/server systems that support business-critical applications.

• Familiarity with database technologies and messaging systems, including evaluating and selecting solutions based on business and technical needs.

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Understanding of software security principles, testing methodologies, and engineering best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ownership of technical outcomes.

• Capability to mentor and assist the professional growth of other engineers.

• Bonus: Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, Postgres, Mongo, Snowflake, Kafka, Python, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Bonus: Experience in the insurance, banking, or investment sectors.
