Senior Back-End Developer, .Net

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create and establish integrations among the ERP, internal applications, and external vendor systems utilizing SFTP, APIs, and message queues.

• Design and sustain .NET applications and services throughout the Azure environment.

• Identify and address SQL Server performance issues in production, including deadlocks, timeouts, and sluggish queries.

• Strengthen database schemas and indexing to avert recurring performance challenges.

• Develop and manage Azure Logic Apps, App Services, and Azure SQL workloads.

• Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors onto the integration platform.

• Design scheduled and batch jobs to ensure production-grade reliability, including failure management, monitoring, and atomicity.

• Streamline duplicated legacy logic and phase out outdated code.

• Convert finance, inventory, and order-management workflows into dependable technical solutions.

• Set up tests and documentation for managed systems.

• Engage in code reviews and pod ceremonies.

• Evaluate and resolve production incidents across the enterprise systems landscape.

• Take part in hiring processes by being a member of interview panels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of backend engineering experience with a strong focus on C# / .NET, including the .NET Framework.

• Extensive Azure development expertise, encompassing Logic Apps, App Services, Azure SQL, and related PaaS services.

• Proficient in T-SQL and SQL Server fundamentals, including query and index optimization, execution plan analysis, diagnosis of deadlocks and timeouts, blocking, and concurrency issues.

• Experience with flat-file exchanges via SFTP, REST and SOAP API integrations, as well as message-queue-based integration.

• Familiarity with integrating third-party vendor systems.

• Full accountability for delivered work, including testing responsibilities.

• Capability to document integration contracts, data flows, and decision-making processes.

• Proficient in AI-assisted development workflows.

• Comfortable enhancing live production systems, including legacy code.

• Strong proactive communication skills and knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Exceptional spoken and written English skills.

• Ability to work with a significant overlap with US Eastern Time.

• Valid legal work authorization in the country of residence, as confirmed by documentation.
