Senior Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve backend applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot

• Create scalable, secure, and highly available REST APIs

• Contribute to the development and advancement of microservices-based architectures

• Develop integrations linking internal systems with corporate platforms

• Engage in defining technical solutions and making architectural choices

• Ensure code quality by adhering to best practices and conducting code reviews

• Implement unit tests and support automated testing approaches

• Analyze and troubleshoot technical challenges in both development and production settings

• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Mobile Development teams

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, aiding in delivery planning and execution

• Drive ongoing enhancements in application architecture, performance, and quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline

• Strong software engineering background, with relevant experience in Java and/or JVM-based languages

• Experience in developing and managing systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js)

• Familiarity with service containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes (vanilla, AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, etc.)

• Understanding of DevOps tools and practices: Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum)

• Familiarity with private and public cloud environments: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Quality-oriented, dedicated to producing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes

• A collaborative and proactive professional with strong written and verbal communication skills
