Senior AWS Cloud Architect – Managed Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the AWS Practice Manager, Principal Architect, and Managed Services team to develop and manage Myriad360's AWS managed service offering.

• Take ownership of the operational build-and-run process for a managed service aimed at growth and scalability.

• Implement and oversee incident management processes, including identification, logging, categorization, prioritization, investigation, playbooks, resolution, and closure.

• Establish and manage the service desk and support model, ensuring AWS Support plan coverage for both partner-owned and customer-owned accounts.

• Define SLAs and manage service-level expectations.

• Implement event management, dynamic monitoring, observability, and predictive monitoring/AIOps.

• Create operational runbooks and automation to ensure consistent service execution.

• Develop service continuity, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.

• Integrate FinOps reporting and financial planning into the managed service.

• Set up onboarding for personnel and document operational processes necessary for service operation and auditing.

• Manage AWS MSP Program certification, including service requirements, self-assessment, evidence collection, and preparation for audits.

• Create customer service management frameworks, including reporting, service review schedules, escalation paths, and conduct key service reviews.

• Leverage AI and automation alongside AI/ML platforms to resolve tickets, identify anomalies, and uncover optimization opportunities.

• Assist in building and eventually lead the AWS managed services operations team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the United States.

• Hands-on experience operating an AWS managed service or MSP practice, with knowledge of the service delivery disciplines mentioned above.

• Proven ability to develop repeatable managed service capabilities, operational processes, and service delivery models.

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

• Experience with AWS MSP Program audits or similar operational audits is highly advantageous.

• Background in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is strongly preferred.

• General understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, along with a security-aware approach to operations is preferred.

• Experience leading cloud modernization and AI-driven operational transformation initiatives is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform is preferred.

• Preferred certifications include: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional; AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional; FinOps Certified Practitioner; ITIL Foundation or higher; AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate; AWS Certified Security - Specialty; AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty.
