Senior Backend Engineer – Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in networking, performance optimization, security measures, and integrations with external systems.

• Conceptualize, develop, and deliver high-quality products.

• Create BEAMS, a Cloud Hypervisor-based Kata container agentic runtime platform.

• Develop multi-cluster Kubernetes operators to manage Teleport effectively at scale.

• Execute zero-downtime upgrades for services involving long-lived tunnels.

• Primarily write code using Go.

• Collaborate closely with various teams within Teleport.

• Enhance your technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to undertake a coding challenge in Go during the interview process.

• Extensive experience in Go programming.

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including skills in writing controllers and extending Kubernetes through APIs.

• Significant experience in developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.

• Strong background in software-related security and a keen interest in security matters.

• Proficient in AWS and other cloud services.

• Experience in Linux systems engineering.

• Background in networking.

• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Notable contributions to open-source projects are a plus.

• Familiarity with Envoy and Cilium is advantageous.

• Experience in cryptography engineering is a plus.
