Senior Automation Testing Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Deliver automation and testing support for software deployments, with an emphasis on the automation testing platform.

• Examine logs and troubleshoot ongoing operations.

• Revise existing automation tests from the backlog.

• Collaborate with the network team.

• Write and deploy automated tests in two significant internal test environments.

• Work across departments to comprehend project scopes.

• Report on the status of testing progress.

• Create new methodologies for test automation.

• Provide mentorship to team members.

• Utilize a custom Python-Selenium automation framework for comprehensive testing.

• Develop and implement test scripts for thorough end-to-end product testing.

• Analyze test framework logs, product logs, and traffic dumps to identify problems.

• Maintain, support, and enhance the existing automation framework.

• Create tools to improve automation processes.

• Identify and rectify deficiencies in automated processes.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to align testing objectives with company goals and strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in QA Automation.

• Practical experience with Python 3x, including advanced usage of Decorators.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Python data structures: Lists, Dictionaries, Sets, and Tuples.

• Strong understanding of programming techniques and algorithms, including OOP and multithreading.

• Experience in automating REST APIs and/or SDK-type interfaces (Java, Python, C++, etc.).

• Proficient user of Linux-based operating systems.

• In-depth knowledge of software development processes and testing methodologies.

• Skilled in JIRA, Git, and other project/bug-tracking tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and communication abilities.

• Initiative in exploring new automation possibilities.

• Experience with AWS/GCP automation frameworks for CI/CD processes.

• Involvement in test automation projects for cloud computing solutions.

• Hands-on experience with MySQL.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, or MS Dynamics configuration.
