QA Engineer – Shopify Platform, Weekend Rotation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee resilia.shop during peak weekend traffic hours.

• Identify visual regressions and broken links.

• Test and confirm weekend hotfixes, theme updates, Liquid template modifications, and third-party app updates.

• Conduct immediate post-deployment smoke tests.

• Perform manual and automated regression tests on both desktop and mobile platforms.

• Validate checkout stability, discount code functionality, subscription disclosures, and payment gateways.

• Manage and document bugs in ClickUp and GitHub Issues, including reproduction steps, video evidence, and severity assessments.

• Keep weekend-to-weekday handoff documentation updated for the weekday QA lead.

• Respond to automated status and uptime notifications.

• Elevate revenue-impacting issues to the developer on call for weekends.

• Monitor, execute smoke tests, and escalate issues without direct code fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• High/native proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Over 5 years of experience in QA/testing.

• Ideally experienced in a fast-paced agency or with 6–7 figure+ DTC/e-commerce brands.

• Strong familiarity with Shopify Admin, backend configurations, metafields, and Liquid template logic.

• Comfortable navigating GitHub, including pull request diffs, branching, and tagging.

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Practical experience in creating structured manual test cases.

• Background in bug triage and severity classification.

• Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing.

• Ability to work independently during weekend shifts.

• Capability to execute structured test cases and manage incident triaging autonomously.

• Must commit to the assigned Saturday–Sunday EST shift.

• Dedicated, distraction-free work environment.

• Familiarity with subscription commerce tools like Recharge, Skio, or Loop.

• Knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

• Background in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), performance/speed monitoring, or GA4 analytics tracking.

• Previous experience in night-shift or weekend QA rotations.
