Senior Auditor – Shipping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Execute client audit engagements.

• Comprehend client and Deloitte objectives to align work accordingly.

• Establish personal priorities and take responsibility for both individual and team outcomes.

• Collaborate with teams across various businesses, regions, Greece, and internationally.

• Foster relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

• Assess SOX compliance.

• Conduct audits for private and public shipping companies utilizing IFRS and US GAAP frameworks.

• Perform PCAOB and ISA audits.

• Enhance personal knowledge and skills while sharing insights with team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4–5 years of substantial experience in Audit, focusing on auditing private or public shipping companies reporting under IFRS or US GAAP.

• Possession of, or in the final stages of obtaining, a professional qualification (JES, AMP, SOEL, ACCA, ACA).

• Strong technical expertise and auditing capabilities.

• Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.

• Consideration may be given to other academic backgrounds with quantitative skills and relevant experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English at a proficiency level.

• Capacity to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.

• High level of discretion regarding confidential work and information.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Good interpersonal and supervisory abilities.

• Capability to inspire, lead, and work effectively within a team.

• Completion of military obligations, where applicable.
