Coding Qual/Edu Auditor – Hospital

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and verify soft coded/abstracted data for designated hospital patient categories.

• Deliver education and training to Piedmont Healthcare coding personnel on areas identified for improvement.

• Instruct Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) team members on documentation standards, coding practices, and regulatory compliance.

• Assist in Coding Quality Education (CQE) initiatives and support Coding Leadership.

• Review and refresh Piedmont Healthcare hospital coding policies regularly.

• Enhance the quality and precision of hospital coding services.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in an acute care environment, including auditing and/or coding management, is essential.

• Stay updated with AHA Coding Clinics, CPT Assistant, and CMS regulations.

• Preference for experience in evaluation and management (E&M) level assignment.

• Must possess one or more certifications at the time of hire: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, CIRCC, or be an AHIMA approved ICD-10 trainer.

• Preference for having a CCS-P credential along with one of the other listed certifications.

• Preferred to be an ICD-10 approved trainer through AHIMA.
