Experienced Auditor, EU Passport Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Deliver a comprehensive array of fully integrated audit services for clients worldwide.

• Produce high-quality work encompassing intricate audit sections while supervising field activities and coordinating contributions from various team members.

• Utilize expertise in systems and audit methodologies to mentor and guide team members.

• Lead audit engagements and prepare financial statements, associated disclosures, and reportable conditions letters.

• Oversee productivity and budgets, ensuring compliance with work-plan timelines.

• Collaborate with international audit teams throughout Europe.

• Travel to Germany and Switzerland for several weeks during the engagement period.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid EU passport, with the capacity to travel to Germany and Switzerland for several weeks.

• Previous external audit experience within the Cannabis sector.

• ITC / Board 1 Pass (mandatory).

• Fully qualified CA(SA), CA(Z), ACA, ACCA, or CPA.

• At least 5 years of external audit experience.

• A minimum of 2 years leading audit teams and managing engagements from start to finish.

• Strong experience in Group Audit.

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.

• Proven experience in planning audit budgets, resources, and managing engagement timelines.

• Demonstrated history of reviewing workpapers and producing high-quality audit files.

• Proficiency in CaseWare.

• Availability for the entire contract period from November 2026 to April 2027.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and upload speeds, latency not surpassing 30ms, and consistent connectivity during power outages.

• Capability to work hours that may coincide with the client's business schedule.

• Proactive communication skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, problem-solving aptitude, learning agility, analytical and critical thinking skills, leadership qualities, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced international environment.
