Senior Associate – Oracle/Microsoft

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist with engagement activities, including planning, execution, and reporting.

• Conduct license baselining, usage analysis, renewal preparation, and develop Effective License Positions (ELP).

• Execute entitlement reviews and license reconciliations across various environments and publishers.

• Collaborate with client-side SAM teams, procurement, IT operations, and finance departments.

• Configure and validate SAM tools and data integrations, including Snow and Flexera.

• Analyze findings and create recommendations for remediation and optimization.

• Aid clients in identifying opportunities for cost savings and compliance alignment.

• Conduct Excel-based analyses on both structured and unstructured data sets.

• Support internal and vendor audits by assisting clients in understanding contractual entitlements and usage rights.

• Research and interpret product use rights, licensing models, and specific licensing metrics from publishers.

• Keep updated on SaaS subscription models, BYOL, cloud consumption licensing, and ISO/ITIL SAM best practices.

• Assist with SAM governance, policy documentation, reporting enhancements, and process automation.

• Track workstreams, project milestones, and internal reporting requirements.

• Clearly communicate progress to project leads.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in SAM, software license compliance, IT asset management, software advisory, data analytics, or a similar technology consulting environment.

• Previous consulting or enterprise experience is advantageous.

• Educational background in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Certifications such as CSAM, CHAMP, ITIL, or ISO 19770 are beneficial.

• Knowledge of licensing metrics from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, VMware, and Autodesk.

• Experience in supporting license true-ups or responding to audits is a plus.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and handling large data sets.

• Hands-on experience with SAM tools like Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow Asset Management, or Lansweeper.

• Ability to interpret complex licensing models and contractual terminology.

• Proven capability to identify compliance gaps and recommend remediation or optimization strategies.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams while managing competing priorities across assigned tasks or workstreams.

• Highly organized and methodical, with a keen attention to detail and data integrity.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present licensing and SAM findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
