Senior Associate – Credit Evaluator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and process credit proposals and applications for MashreqBank’s retail lending products, including Badr Products, ensuring approval or escalation to Credit Supervisors within the defined turnaround time (TAT).

• Assess eligibility in accordance with policy guidelines, bank statements, historical data in Flexcube, Prime, and other relevant systems via IRIS/MWS.

• Measure, analyze, and propose enhancements to team productivity.

• Execute assigned projects aimed at boosting unit productivity and refining retail lending products and credit policies.

• Engage in training sessions, process improvement efforts, and system updates.

• Identify exceptions related to eligibility, pricing, CPV, system information capture, and compliance with collateral requirements.

• Report deficiencies and policy breaches to the Team Leader/Assistant Manager.

• Classify cases as Declined, Rejected, or requiring Deviation Approval when checks do not succeed.

• Achieve daily productivity goals and adhere to established turnaround times.

• Implement first-line controls to secure quality applications and notify the Fraud Prevention Unit of any document discrepancies.

• Participate in quality-unit training and assessments.

• Support the on-the-job training of new team members.

• Foster team motivation and collaboration.

• Detect discrepancies and suggest modifications to the Credit Policy and Product Manual.

• Propose enhancements to operational procedures and risk management areas.

• Bachelor's degree with over 3 years of experience in a Credit Management environment.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office tools for reporting purposes.

• Good computer skills.

• Capable of problem-solving and working independently.
