Senior Associate – Cost Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the precision, traceability, and integrity of program cost information.

• Conduct cost mapping, analyze overhead allocations, perform reconciliations, and evaluate trends.

• Map and reconcile expenses from general ledger and job-cost systems to contract-required WBS structures.

• Examine cost flows, overhead pools, allocations, and variances to uncover anomalies and potential misallocations.

• Assist in ongoing cost adjudication, financial reviews, audits, and reconciliation efforts.

• Assess cost trends and generate financial insights for program leadership and government stakeholders.

• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to Contracting Officers, Program Managers, DCMA, and legal teams.

• Maintain precise documentation to ensure cost data is traceable, consistent, and backed by suitable financial records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

• At least 4 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, accounting, or similar analytical roles, with proven experience in WBS and cost-mapping.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost reconciliation, overhead allocation analysis, and financial variance analysis.

• Over 2 years of proficiency using Excel and Power BI to analyze financial data and articulate complex findings clearly.

• Experience in supporting defense programs or government financial management initiatives.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.

• Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).

• Background in working with cost-accounting, job-cost, or financial management systems.

• Understanding of GAAP standards and cost accounting principles, including ASC 330 and ASC 360.
