This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the legal representation in workers' compensation cases from start to finish.
• Manage all facets of discovery and litigation processes.
• Collaborate effectively with insurance providers, employers, and third-party administrators.
• Operate within a paperless workspace, primarily utilizing digital documentation.
• Balance multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines.
• Utilize judgment, troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, analysis, and discretion.
• Travel as necessary.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor degree.
• Active member of the State Bar of California, in good standing.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Dedication to proactive case management.
• Familiarity with Merus or Litify is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams is preferred but not mandatory.
• Submission of a resume and cover letter is required.
• Must successfully pass a background check before the first day of employment.
