This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Develop and enhance robust, dependable, high-performance data pipelines.
• Execute data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, validation, and monitoring processes.
• Diagnose pipeline issues, optimize performance, and rectify defects.
• Convert business requirements, operational processes, and domain rules into data transformation logic.
• Establish transformation frameworks that encode business logic across source systems and downstream applications.
• Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and domain stakeholders on data rules, calculations, and definitions.
• Create curated datasets and reusable data products for analytics, reporting, operational workflows, and AI-driven applications.
• Ensure alignment of pipelines and data products with enterprise architecture standards and ontology models in Palantir Foundry.
• Implement ontology-aligned datasets, object relationships, and semantic models.
• Uphold common patterns, naming conventions, governance practices, and integration standards.
• Establish data quality checks, reconciliation logic, validation rules, and observability mechanisms.
• Promote governance through traceable transformation logic, comprehensive documentation, lineage awareness, and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure compliant, secure, and reliable deployments.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to standards for version control, peer reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Engage in unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
• Take part in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Provide updates on task status, identify blockers, and support delivery commitments.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of team engineering practices, tooling, and delivery processes.
• Gain proficiency in Palantir Foundry development frameworks, enterprise data integration, ontology-driven development, and data platform best practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 6 years of related experience without a degree.
• Proficiency in developing data-intensive software solutions using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with building, supporting, or maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, or system integrations.
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases, structured and semi-structured data, and transformation logic.
• Knowledge of version control, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and CI/CD concepts.
• Understanding of data quality, validation, and troubleshooting techniques in data workflows.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, including Pipelines, Code Repositories, Ontology, Workshop, Operational Applications, or ontology-based development.
• Capability to design or support robust, high-performance enterprise data pipelines across multiple source systems.
• Experience in implementing business logic within data transformations.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled workflows, analytics applications, or operational data products.
• Background in regulated industries such as defense, aerospace, manufacturing, finance, or healthcare.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices, data governance concepts, and principles of enterprise data management.
