
Senior Asset Manager – Special Servicing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a portfolio of loans that are in imminent or active default, managing all aspects related to their resolution.
• Perform in-depth research on default issues, which includes analyzing payment histories, lien releases, title chains, construction accounts, and court documents to formulate and implement effective resolution strategies.
• Evaluate and authorize the documentation necessary throughout the default management process.
• Engage with clients, legal representatives, and third-party vendors, providing timely updates and expert guidance.
• Work collaboratively with underwriting, servicing, surveillance, and finance teams to enhance recovery results.
• Keep comprehensive records of actions taken, analyses conducted, and communications in loan files.
• Report on asset status, resolution approaches, and recovery projections to management and investors.
• Evaluate property values, determine net present value (NPV), and create cash flow analyses.
• Supervise foreclosure processes and bankruptcy filings to ensure compliance with timelines and investor guidelines.
• Prepare and present bidding instructions for management's approval.
• Oversee and manage REO properties following their sale through confirmation, redemption, or ratification, ensuring the accurate recording of deeds and assignments.
• Investigate and address delinquent tax matters and verify vendor invoices for accuracy.
• Assist in training junior team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in real estate asset management.
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated capability to efficiently manage multiple complex cases and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, along with outstanding writing and grammar proficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Capacity to handle numerous projects while adapting to changing priorities.
